Before we had a web site we used to send annual letters each year
with a summary of all of our doings.
They were sort of Christmas letters
but they never went out at Christmas. It was always a tradeoff between
cutting it real short so that we wouldn't bore people too much and not
spend too much on postage and writing it real long and indulging our egos.
With the advent of the web, you can read what you want.
But we just thought
that, like old photos, it would be interesting to be reminded of what happened
in years past.
There is a lot of duplication between them and the rest
of this web site.
You might call these annual letters "Chandler-Bates Lite."
Of course the most recent letters get distributed mostly by email. The number of our correspondents who are not on line is shrinking fast. |
