We cleaned up a lot of HTML and replaced lots of explicit specification of font, color, etc, with references to style sheets. This applies particularly to our Frontpages, Paris, and Israel.

Jan has filled in many gaps where we had pictures but few words. This includes Ukraine and Poland.

Our Mexico coverage has been re-organized and expanded. We now have a page about all of the Ancient Sites that we visited.

November 20,2003

We spent mid-September to nearly the end of October in Mexico and then went to the USA. At the time of posting, we have given a general travelogue of our last ten weeks at November 20 . We visited the Mexican states of Sinaloa, Jalisco, and Zacatecas. The postings for Zacatecas is pretty complete, but Sinaloa and Jalisco are rather sketchy. We have posted our experiences with the Virgen De Zapopan. More will come, in a few weeks or months.

We spent seven weeks from August 1 to September 18 in three of the largest Mexican states, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango. We saw lots of great churches and beaches.

We've been working on some backlog of web pages, sometimes writing them and sometimes just improving them. Check for revisions at Florida, Virginia, Arizona,

We left California for two weeks in Las Vegas where we had a very comfortable time around the New Frontier pool. Then it was six weeks in Arizona where we fought the Fujitsu Wars, as well as saw lots of Arizona, and visited lots of Indian sites.

We've been to California. That trip down memory lane lasted a month. We saw Los Angeles, the Coast, San Francisco, and Yosemite.

The biggest new thing — but it doesn't show up instantlly in our web site — is that we have our own domain, www.ChandlerBates.com. We are hosted by Barron Hosting. We have their cheapest plan, $34 to get started. For that piddling amount we get 100MB of diskspace, email, and a few other things. Because of that enlarged space (about 2.5 times what we had on AOL)  the other new thing is that we restored some of the photos that we could not display before. These are of Paris, China, and Vietnam.

Is a map worth a thousand words? Two of them show our route to the Mediterranean and up through Turkey and eastern Europe.

We've written more about our Darlington adventures in bike, beach, and Beamish. And added a map of Tyne-Tees that includes all of these and more

We've read a few more books and reviewed them. Try Angela's Ashes or There's A War on, Pet for moving personal memoirs and Mouth to Mouth for light fiction.

Here's a real mystery. We don't give the answer right away.
