At long last we set off from the last of our three apartments in DC toward Mexico. It wasn't direct, because we started by going north for a last hello/goodbye to some friends and family in New Jersey and New York. Then it was off to Richmond, Lee's Retreat, Appomattox, and Lynchberg before finally saying goodbye to Virginia and going on to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia (just one night), and Florida.
