Too bad it isn't still true that "Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris." We'd love to have gone to see him as we were once again alive, well, and, for the fourth time, living in Paris. Sameul Johnson it was, we think — please check for us — who said that a man who was bored living in London was bored with life. We can agree, about London, and, of course, about Paris. This stay we found more than enough to do; we couldn't even get through the half-dozen books we bought while there, we were so busy doing other things.

And what were those other thing? Life, of course! By life we mean those necessities, including showering, dressing, and eating breakfast. Those alone usually occupied our day to 10:00, if not 11:00. On the days we went out we had trouble doing it before 10:00

This stay in Paris we didn't have as many visitors as in the past. Yet, for the first month we were constantly occupied — enjoyably occupied with them. After many years we'd finally visited Pam in Durban, South Africa. She replayed the complement and came to stay with us for two weeks. With her we saw all, all, and all of Paris again.

This Page is a place holder for a future description of what we visited and saw. We'll also add some photographs.
