Cahal Pech is just a mile outside of San Ignacio. We had met Dirk Harlacher, a young German who was staying across the hall from us, and Gerry suggested to him that they walk over together. That they did and had a very interesing coversation about international politics. Dirk himself has just graduated from a German university and is making a 5-month tour of North and Central America before starting a job with a consulting firm in April.
