Working at Lucent Bell Labs on the Jupiter Project. Skiing at Heavenly Valley, Squaw Valley, & Kirkwood near Lake Tahoe. 5 days at Grand Canyon, South Rim.

March

Working at Lucent Bell Labs on the Jupiter Project.

April

Hand in notices at Lucent Bell Labs on the Jupiter Project. Jan's mother diagnosed with lung cancer. We fly to England to be with her.

May

In Darlington, staying with Jan's mother. At end of month Gerry flies back to U.S.

June

Jan's mother undergoes operation to remove lung.

July

Jan still in England.  Gerry in U.S. working on sorting and labelling photos.

August

In mid-month, Jan's mother is well enough to allow Jan to fly home to the U.S. Jan decorates dining room and helps out with photo labelling.

September

Spend 3 weeks driving to Minneapolis, Minnesota and back to attend wedding of Wayne and Cathy Huber's daughter Lydia.

October

Back to house fix-up and photo work.

November

More house fix-up and photo work. Gerry starts learning about web pages.

December

Write our annual letter and create first website.
