We couldn't pass through South Carolina without stopping to say hello to Mike and Beth Eddy, who had been such great hosts on our first visit the previous year. We were happy to see that the new addition to their house was complete and being put to excellent use by Beth as an art studio and by Mike as a DVD movie theater. We tested out the sofa-bed in one of the two new rooms and were delighted to learn that even without window coverings the nights at the beach were so dark we slept like angels.

Meeting Mom

We were also very happy to meet and get to know Beth's Mom, Minerva, seen here with Mike and Beth on a pretty cold, damp, day in early March during an outing to visit nearby Hampton Plantation.

Networking Computers

While here, we also took the opportunity to pick Mike's brains and get our two laptops, one of which was almost new, to talk to one another. The advantage of having two machines is that each can serve as backup for the other, but that is only practicable if the two machines can communicate directly. Mike fulfilled all our hopes and since then we have had no communication problems (between machines, that is!)
