It's hard to decide if we should include Yokohama with Tokyo or place it with that part of Japan outside Tokyo. The confusion arises because Yokohama is officially not part of Tokyo and in fact its third largest city. But it is connected by Metro and train to Tokyo, and in fact, there was a direct line from Shibuya, where we stayed six weeks, that got one to Yokohama is just 30 minutes -- faster than we could get to Ueno and some of the other farther away parts of official Tokyo.
