These photos show the lovely harbor at Kas. Our very simple room had a view of the ocean but not of the bay and marina. Cynthia and Malcolm, friends from Darlington, like to come to Kas in the fall. They usually rent an apartment with an ocean view and like us think the place is pretty nice. From here we made a couple of excursions: first to take our second hike on the Lycian Way directly from the village, and secondly by bus to the ancient ruins at Xanthos.
Here is our hotel's rooftop restaurant where we ate breakfast every morning. This early in the season it was a little chilly in the early morning but we loved the fresh air and the great views we got from up here. The breakfast wasn't too bad either!
Gerry took a late afternoon walk one day, uphill from our hotel to take a look at this nice amphitheater. It's location overlooking the ocean adds to its appeal. Not as big or as important as others we have seen, but very lovely nonetheless.
