We visited Arizona twice in 2003. First en route from Monterrey, Mexico to San Francisco we visited Tucson, Phoenix, and Yuma. Second, on our way back from San Francisco to Mexico we spent almost a month here. The map shows several different route segments identified by color and explained in the legend below the map.

2003 Routes in Chronological Order

Fuchsia: our route from northern Mexico to Phoenix (May 2-4)
Pink: our route from Phoenix to California (May 4-6).
Orange: our route from Las Vegas, Nevada to Phoenix (June 22-June 30).
Purple: our tour of Arizona Indian Country (July 1-11).
Salmon: our route from Phoenix to Puerto Penasco, Mexico (July 12-August 1).

Last, but not least, the blue dotted line shows the route we took in 1997 after skiing at Lake Tahoe when we flew to Phoenix, rented a car, and visited the Grand Canyon.
